Ichiba

Ichiba is the largest Japanese food hall in Europe, located in Westfield London. Complete with food, drink, gifts and homeware. SureDesign have worked closely with the Ichiba team at the Japan Centre on a modular design, consistent with the store format. Please see below for more details.

Initial Ideas
  • Working closely with the Ichiba team, a number of ideas were produced to get an understanding of the clients direction.
  • Eden shelving was incorporated into the structure of the design, allowing stores to merchandise at different heights and angles.
Promotional Table
  • A selection of initial ideas produced for the display tables.
  • Designs incorporate different aspects of Japanese design.
Fixture Renders
  • Once initial ideas were approved, 3D models were developed into Autodesk Inventor and rendered for the clients approval.
  • Both the wall and gondola displays incorporate a light oak whilst maintaining the modular Eden shelving structure.
  • Blackened steel plinths were introduced to provide a consistent format.
  • The promotional end oak cladding was designed to fit perfectly flush to the display backing whilst allowing the shelves to be adjusted easily.
  • Signage is also modular and can be easily added/removed.
Final Visuals
  • A selection of visuals of the final design.
  • Wall shelving incorporated a front post system.
  • All shelves incorporate a timber front with a bespoke size for Ichiba's pricing ticket.
